About Ningbo
A city with robust production capacity
| Ningbo thrives on a solid base of a wide range of production activities. Among them, plastic & metal products, apparel, household appliances and stationery are the city’s major manufactures with over 20,000 companies. The big volume and diversity of Ningbo’s manufacturing base not only renders an ideal investment environment, but also helps itself develop into a fast-expanding commodities export hub. |

A gateway to new business
| According to official figures in the first quarter of 2008, Ningbo’s Zhoushan Port has replaced the Port of Shanghai to become the largest port in China. As the Hangzhou Bay Bridge came into service in 2007, the expressway has connected Ningbo with other major cities along the Chang Jiang (Yangtze River) Delta. The travelling time between Shanghai and Ningbo is now reduced to two hours only, while the transportation to industrial cities such as Suzhou, Kunshan and Jiaxing has also shortened by two hours. With the well-connected transportation, buyers can pay visits to factory plants immediately after the exhibition to know their interested companies better. This definitely brings ample business opportunities to the manufacturers in Ningbo and areas nearby. |
